July 18, 2020 Deco T.E.C. Board Meeting Minutes
Attendance: Dan Sharpe, Angel Dutton, Amber Povey Melissa Dunn, Breezy Smith, Linda Mitchem, Mitch Mitchem, Mike Emerson, Anita Bikowitz, Kathy Armstrong.
Dan Sharpe opened in prayer
Discussion about wearing and not wearing masks.
President Report:
Dan spoke of a limit break, and doing a 180 trick. Looking through someone else’s eyes about what is going on. (Deep thoughts w/ Dan Sharpe.) Thoughts about having a hard time seeing where we will be a year from now. We don't know what's next.
Angel said we need to rely on God to keep our sanity.
Spiritual Director report:
Conversation about what to do about Pastor Bubba’s (Robert Collier) passing. Should we send flowers or something. We decided as a board to send a monetary donation to Northern Michigan Decolores in his name as a scholarship so someone can attend a weekend.
Anita motioned Deco T.E.C. donate $50 in the name of Pastor Robert Collier for a scholarship toward someone attending a weekend with Northern Michigan DeColores.
Angel 2nd the motion. All in favor, none opposed. Motion carried.
Treasurer Report:
Nothing has changed in the account. Angel stated that September 17th she has an appointment to get plates for the trailers at Secretary of state. Angel also said she will donate the money for the trailer plates.
Melissa motioned to receive the treasurer's report as given. Kathy 2nd the motion. All in favor, none opposed. Motion carried.
Secretary/historian/web designate/registration:
Still working on the Alpha list. Haven't seen anything new in the post office.
New Business:
Melissa brought up that her and Mitch were talking about postponing weekend til after the first of the year 2021.
Anita motioned to table all person to person meetings to 2021. Amber 2nd the motion. All in favor, none opposed. Motion carried.
Deco T.E.C. also won't sponsor any activities until the first of the new year as well.
Anita said we could do Zoom meetings to have some trivia games to keep people engaged.
Anita said she would start the zoom meeting trivia game, with help of other adults. Kids would be asked questions and earn points to win prizes. She suggested that she could donate the first prize of a scholarship to attend a Deco T.E.C. weekend.
Angel prayed us out.
